Total Endurance is rooted in offering the highest quality 121 triathlon coaching to all levels of athletes. Our number one goal is to help you improve by working with you to integrate swim, bike, run training into your life.

The Total Endurance coaching team consist of 3 British Triathlon Level 3 coaches; Ken Bryson, Kevin Watson and Ewan Stirling (based in Inverness).

Ken, Kevin and Ewan have been competing in multi-sport races for years and work with a range of athletes across all levels and distances. Whether you are looking to tackle a long distance event or just complete your first triathlon, we can help you achieve your goals.

All Total Endurance coaching plans are fully customised to each athlete's individual needs, including training history, current fitness level, strengths and weaknesses, goals, and time availability. A successful training plan isn't just how many hours aiswim, bike and run thats completed but finding how we work togehter to integrate the training required to reach your goals into your work and family life. With a structured training plan you'll be amazed at how much you can improve by helping you maximising your available training time.

     

The coaching process starts with an initial consultation meeting where we can find out a bit more about you and what you are looking to do. During the consultation meeting we aim to understand your training history and previous experiance and gives you an opportunity to ask questions about our coaching packages.

Following the inital consultation we will then put together an anual overview that maps out the training plan and detail the goals you are targeting and working on the steps we think it will take to get there. We will usually meet with you again to chat through the overview and answer any question you have before starting.

Triathlon Foundation Plan

Description of the training plan

The Triathlon foundation plan is a step up from following a generic training plan where we work with you to define your training goals and understand your strengths and weaknesses and build a plan that will help you improve your swim, bike and run performances in a detailed and progressive manner.

This plan is ideal option for those looking for more individualised training advice and keeps you accountable to the training and don't need as much detail and analysis to help them improve. While this plan has less analysis than the Performance plans, we will still meet with you regularly to discuss your progress and refine the plan as you improve.

 

What the plan includes
  • Initial annual Overview where we map out your goals and detail the steps needed to get there
  • 8 - 12 week individualised training schedule built using Training peaks
  • Bi-monthly Training block review and tracking progress towards goals
  • Discount to Total Endurance Training Camps

Triathlon Performance Plan

Description of the training plan

The Triathlon Perormance Plan stands as the ideal choice for athletes seeking enhancements in their swimming, cycling, and running performances.

Our approach is rooted in regular training reviews and collaborative planning, ensuring that each training block is strategically tailored to help you achieve optimal improvements within the constraints of your available time and other life commitments.

As experienced coaches, we bring our knowledge and deep understanding of individual physiology and psychology to help you improve.

As part of this plan we will build an initial overview that lays out the route to success and the steps that we need to take in order to achieve your goals.

  • Initial Overview
  • Option of Weekly or 4-6 week individualised training schedule built using Training peaks

Triathlon Performance Plus Plan

Description of the training plan

The Triathlon Performance Plus plan builds from the Performance plan but with addtional testing and anlaysis built into the monthly cost.  

This plan is the ideal choice for athletes who want more detailed analysis for one of the sports and we can maximise your training using data and video analysis to understand what limits you and create a detailed action plan on how to improve with follow up sessions to track the improvements over time.

Whether you want some help with your swimming through video analysis and coaching, support to improve your running using our expertise on running biomechanics, running physiology testing including running economy and energy substrate testing or maybe you want additional help to improve your bike with regular bike fitting to work towards a more aerodynamic position, physiology testing and energy substrate testing.

The Triathlon Performance Max plan builds from the Plus plan but with even more testing and analysis built into the monthly cost.

This plan is the ideal choice for athletes who want more detailed analysis for two of the sports and we can maximise your training using data and video analysis to understand what limits you and create a detailed action plan on how to improve with follow up sessions to track the improvements over time.

Whether you want some help with your swimming through video analysis and coaching, support to improve your running using our expertise on running biomechanics, running physiology testing including running economy and energy substrate testing or maybe you want additional help to improve your bike with regular bike fitting to work towards a more aerodynamic position, physiology testing and energy substrate testing.

Triathlon Performance Master Plan

Description of the training plan

The Triathlon Performance Master plan takes triathlon coaching to a new level with the full suite of testing and anlaysis in all three sports as part of your coaching package, this plan is built on a weekly basis with much greater flexibility in helping you reach your goals.

The plan is ideal for athletes who want to leave no stone unturned and want to really take their swim, bike and run performances to the next level.

Swim:

We’ll help improve your swimming with regular 121 swim coaching including video analysis

Bike:

Improve your bike performances with detailed power analysis / profiling alongside ongoing bike set up optimization and energy substrate testing to maximize fueling strategies.

Run:

With this plan we will also help take your running to the top with regular detailed analysis and run physiology testing to identify what's holding your running back and we’ll build the plan using this information so that no stone will be left unturned.

This plan is the ideal choice for athletes who want more detailed analysis for one of the sports and we can maximise your training using data and video analysis to understand what limits you and create a detailed action plan on how to improve with follow up sessions to track the improvements over time.
