The new challenger is best described as a 'hybrid' shoe. It is very rare to find a shoe that suits both trail and road but this is the closest you will get. The cushioning feels similar to a Clifton 8 but with a more versatile rubber outsole for when you hit the trails. Best suited to those running routes that have mixed terrain.
